IRCC announced on October 7, 2022 that some international students would be eligible to work full-time off-campus from November 15, 2022 to December 31, 2023. Take this quiz to find out if you are eligible under this temporary policy. Please note that you are a student first. Your studies should be your first priority even if you are eligible to work. We encourage all students to visit https://www.yorku.ca/scld/learning-skills/ before to learn about academic skills such as time management to help you succeed in your studies and balance everything you have going on. Read the policy: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2022/10/international-students-to-help-address-canadas-labour-shortage.html What about co-op work permits? Although you may not need a co-op work permit if you are eligible for this temporary policy and your co-op work term dates fall within the time you can work off campus full time, we still encourage you to apply for a co-op work permit. It's free and allows you the option to be flexible with your work term dates. Your co-op program office may also require you to apply. The results of your quiz will be sent to the email you enter.
