Please use this form if you are an undergraduate international student looking for documentation to support a leave from studies. Speak with a member of York International's International Student Advising (ISA) Team about your request for a leave. All ISAs are licensed to provide immigration advice and will help you understand the immigration-related implications of your request for leave. It is also important to consult with the academic advising office of your faculty. As a condition of your study permit, you are required to be enrolled and actively pursuing studies. If you must take a leave of absence, you will be considered to be actively pursuing your studies *if* (1) the leave is authorized by your DLI; AND (2) the leave does not exceed 150 days. If your leave will exceed 150 days, you must change your status to "visitor" or leave Canada to remain compliant with your study permit conditions. During a leave of absence, you cannot work.
